Hello Beautiful Humans,
It’s Monday and Rainbow Glitter Sparkle Home School is back in action Phe and Principle Daddy have decided that pants are optional, not only at Rainbow Glitter Sparkle school, but in all circumstances at the moment.
Thanks to our Amazing Friend Chrissie we started the day with a special mission that came in the letter box. It had the girls running around the yard matching plants and flowers to colour cards! Seriously this kept them entertained for over an hour and were so excited!! Aunty Chrissie is now the best long distance substitute teacher in the world!
Today’s maths activity was to measure the height of furniture around the house and to draw a graph of our findings but measuring chairs is not as fun as measuring giant flamingo toys!!!
The girls convinced me that making slime was definitely educational. So I asked, “What are you learning from making Slime?” and their answer was, “You, like, squish it and stuff!” (Well that’s good enough for me).
Mummy and Daddy really needed to get some work done so we spent the afternoon watching How to Train Your Dragon in our underpants. (If someone could please specify how watching every animated movie is in some way educational, it would be greatly appreciated.)
It’s Tuesday no wait its Wednesday where did Tuesday go!!?! Is it just me or does EVERY DAY FEEL LIKE ITS A WEEK LONG?… for everyone…. all the time!?
I found this love heart shaped leaf on my morning walk today. Maybe it’s a sign that we all need a little more love at the moment! Love from at least 2 meters away!
We started the day learning how to draw self portraits! Also…. How do teachers deal with the ten thousand annoying phrases? Such as:
“I’m hungry” , “I don’t want to…” , “I can’t do it.” , “I don’t know how.”, “But that’s not how I do it.” , ‘I’m hungry” , “It’s too hard” , “I’m still hungry”, “I want to go to the beach.”
On Tuesday or Monday or Wednesday… we collected all our tiny toys and measured them and made a pretty graph. Maths is way more fun when you do it with pretty colours!
After a nice lunch outside we learnt about our family trees! I thought it would be a good idea to print out a photo of each of our family members so we could see how everyone was connected. But as some of you know my family is STUPIDLY HUGE and an hour into finding all of the photos…I regretted this decision!
Whenever I say, “it’s time for a break go find something to do!” I alway find them drawing or painting or cutting up tiny pieces of paper and spreading them around every inch of our house.
Sending Love!
Until next time (probably not everyday because I will need plenty of time to work out what day of the week it is!). Stay Happy and Healthy and Home! Also wash your hands one more time. It can’t hurt.
Cass
